Our Valheim plans start at 4 GB, which is enough for a vanilla world and a small crew. What really drives memory use is how much of the map has been explored and how much you have built — a long-running world with big bases needs more. For heavily modded servers we recommend 8 GB or more.
Valheim itself is built around small groups and supports up to 10 players on a dedicated server. That limit comes from the game, not from us — we do not add a cap of our own.
Yes. Valheim modding runs on BepInEx, which you install yourself — you upload its files through the file manager or FTP and restart. From then on mods are just files you drop into the plugins folder. Keep in mind that most mods have to match on both sides — every player needs the same mods and versions as the server, otherwise they will not connect.
Yes. Upload your .db and .fwl world files through the file manager or FTP, restart, and everything you have built is there. Your characters stay on your own machines, as Valheim always stores them locally, so nobody loses progress.
Yes, and that is the main reason to rent one. Nobody has to be the host, so your friends can play whenever they want and progress no longer depends on one person being online.
Valheim requires a password for dedicated servers, and it has to be at least five characters and different from the server name. You set it in the panel and can change it whenever you like — handy if you want to quietly close the world to newcomers.
You choose your location when ordering: Falkenstein (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), London (UK) or Gravelines (France). Pick the one closest to you — the shorter the distance, the lower your ping.
Yes, and it costs nothing extra. Game Swaps are included in every plan: turn the same server into another supported game in one click, and each game keeps its own saved preset so nothing is lost when you swap back. Heavier games need more memory, so which titles you can run depends on the plan you pick — hover the info icon next to Game Swaps on any plan above to see how many that plan can run.
