V Rising is one of the heavier games we host — the server keeps a persistent world with every castle, chest and servant in it — which is why plans for it start at 6 GB (11.99 EUR/mo). That covers a clan or a small friends' server comfortably. If you are opening the doors to a larger community, or the world has been up long enough for a lot of castles to be built, step up a tier for the extra headroom.

Yes. The game mode — PvP or PvE — and the rest of the rules live in the server's settings files, which you edit in the panel or over FTP. From there you can adjust things like resource and drop multipliers, castle limits, decay and the raiding rules, and restart to apply them. Exactly which options exist depends on the game version, so it is worth reading through the settings file once before you open the server up.

In most cases yes — you upload the save folder through the file manager or FTP and point the server at it. Keep the game versions the same on both ends, as saves made on a different build are the usual cause of problems. Take a manual backup of whatever is already on the server before you overwrite it.

There is a community modding scene, but it is not an official feature of the game, so treat it as something you set up yourself. You have full file manager and FTP access, so you can install whatever the mod's instructions call for. Expect players to need matching mods on their side, and expect a game update to occasionally break them until the authors catch up.

Yes. The world runs 24/7 on our hardware regardless of whether you are playing, so your clan can log in on their own schedule. If you would rather your castle not be raidable while nobody is around, check the offline raid protection options in the settings file — that is a game rule you control, not something the host decides.

You add yourself to the server's admin list file through the panel, which unlocks the in-game admin commands for kicks, bans and general moderation. The panel also gives you a live console and file access for anything you would rather do from outside the game. Manual backups can be taken within the backup slots your plan includes, and automatic daily backups are available as a paid add-on.

You choose your location when ordering: Falkenstein (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), London (UK) or Gravelines (France). Pick the one closest to you — the shorter the distance, the lower your ping.
