FAQ / Questions & Answers

Our plans start at 2 GB, which is enough for a convoy session with a handful of friends on the base map. You may want more headroom if you run several map DLCs together, add mods on top, or keep the session up permanently for a larger group. It is one of the lighter games we host, so the entry tier covers most people.
It hosts a private convoy session for you and your group, so you drive the same world together instead of one person hosting from their own PC. The session stays up whether or not you are logged in, which means anyone in the group can hop on at any time. This is the game's own convoy multiplayer — it is not connected to any third-party multiplayer network.
We do not impose an artificial slot cap — the limit comes from your plan's RAM and CPU and from whatever the game itself allows. Convoy is designed for a small group rather than a public server with dozens of drivers, so plan around friends rather than a community. You set the slot number yourself in the server config.
Yes. The server needs to know which mods and DLC the session runs with, and the usual way is to generate a server package file from your own copy of the game and upload it through the file manager or FTP. Mods themselves come from the Steam Workshop or from mod authors. Regenerate and re-upload that file whenever you change your mod or DLC setup, or the session will not match.
In practice yes — everyone driving together should own the same map DLC and run the same mods, or people will run into mismatches when they try to join. The simplest approach is to agree on one setup, share a Workshop collection for the mods, and build the server package from a game configured exactly that way. Keep the list short at first and add to it once the convoy is running smoothly.
Yes. The panel gives you a live console, a file manager and FTP, so you can edit the server config to change the session name, password, slot count and behaviour whenever you like. You can also take a manual backup at any point and set scheduled restarts to keep things tidy.
You choose your location when ordering: Falkenstein (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), London (UK) or Gravelines (France). Pick the one closest to you — the shorter the distance, the lower your ping.
Yes, and it costs nothing extra. Game Swaps are included in every plan: turn the same server into another supported game in one click, and each game keeps its own saved preset so nothing is lost when you swap back. Heavier games need more memory, so which titles you can run depends on the plan you pick — hover the info icon next to Game Swaps on any plan above to see how many that plan can run.
